Health Goals

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

My health goal is to develop a strong body, as well as a disciplined mind. It will affect my health by developing muscles and strengths, as well as having a controlled mind, where once something is planned, I will not steer away from it, but stick with it. I will do this by doing sit ups every night, because even though it is very simple, I think that it will help me achieve my goal.

I don’t think I need a schedule, because what I am doing is so constant that it might become a habit, which would, in some way, be a good thing. However, I might need a calendar to mark whether I did the sit ups or not, then, do twice that amount on the next day. This is also to help support my discipline, and punish me when I shoved it off. Therefore, since this is a daily exercise, I must do it Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. If I miss a day, I would fail it and must double the exercise to make up for it.

Short Term

  • Get my muscles stronger

Long Term

  • Develop mental discipline
  • Become a productive habit

Progress Reflection: Thursday, November 3, 2011:

I’m not doing very well on this, as I have been neglecting to do sit ups for week. However, I found how much this has reflected on my personal discipline. During times that I do now to sit ups, I haven’t been working very well on my homework, whereas when I do sit ups, I gain self-discipline and work much better. Perhaps even though my performance isn’t good, the view that it effects or is an indicator of discipline seems sound.

Progress Reflection: Tuesday, November 29, 2011:

Again, I’m not really doing anything significant. I hardly remember doing my health goals and it sometimes reflect on my personal discipline. I hardly do homework and get distracted homework, and during those times, I do not do sit ups, whereas when I do homework vigorously, I do do sit ups. I think this has been a astonishing discovery for me.

I do sit ups on my bed so that I would not injure myself.
